Three Malaysian churches were attacked with firebombs, causing extensive damage to one, as Muslim worshippers pledged Friday to prevent Christians from using the word 'Allah,' escalating religious tensions in this multi-racial country. Many of the country's Malay Muslims, who make up 60 percent of the population, are incensed by a recent High Court decision to overturn a ban on Roman Catholics using 'Allah' as a translation for God in the Malay-language edition of their main newspaper, the Herald."
Attack with firebombs? Wow, what a way to show that Islam is a peace religion eh?
Well, reasons that I could possibly think of for their actions:
a) to show us muslims are serious about this matter. Ada faham?!
b) we cannot offend them by showing of kepala lembu kaan, duh!
c) oh its actually for fun! we loveee making bombs!
When I first read about the ruling a week ago, I was mortified! I personally don't agree with it. Suddenly tons of questions started to pop out. Why? Why? and why?
Tapi bila aisyah baca article ni, I cannot stop and think, " Apa hal diorang nak bomb gereja-gereja orang lain ni?! Takde keje lain ke nak tunjuk perasaan macam nii?!!"
I'm not a religious person I have to admit. Ilmu agama pun berapa kerat lah sangat. But for the past 3 years living under the same roof with 3 other non muslims (susah senang berbusuk bersama.hehe), I've learn to respect their religion and they will respect ours too.
And isn't that what Islam taught us? Saling hormat menghormati regardless of your race and religion? So how come this people, whom I know have much greater knowledge and experience than me, acted in this way?
P/S: Here in Indonesia they refer god as Allah, but pronounce as Alah. And Allah itself is a Semitic word for God and been use in other religion for thousound of years. Try imagine knowing that after 19 years living as a muslim, and was told by another Christian.

aisyah, aku baca kat one paper ni kan, actually ada semacam (aku lupa term dia) yg macam sebenarnya bukan muslim yg buat. kira macam org2 diorng yg buat tp atas nama muslim. yg macam wtc bomb tu la. faham ka??
ReplyDeletetp tu la. kita kena kaji setiap tu dgn lebih terperinci. tak boleh nak salahkan satu2 puak semata2.. urm, tp kan, bukan ke dulu even kristian,yahudi etc sebut tuhan mereka ialah ALLAH? tp ye la kan, selama ni diorng panggil tuham mereka LORD, GOD tapi tetiba nak usul panggil ALLAH pulak. urm, aku tak pandai sgt nak ckp pasal agama, tp mybe kita boleh serach dalil2 or sumber yg lebih sahih untuk benda2 camni.. malaysia kan 1malaysia :)
mybe propaganda. but who really knows kan? maybe betul yg muslims sendiri mybe orang lain. aq rasa tak reasonable nak buat macam ni. sama case dgn tunjuk kepala sapi depan temple.takdela nak cakap depa jahat gileee bla bla kat diorang, cuma unreasonable.disrespect. 1msia ek sudien, hurmm.
