Pre exam ramblings

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

Collide-Howie Day

Pre exam ramblings:

Besok exam. Lecture notes dah habis baca, tapi sayang..banyak tak ingat. Alangkah indahnya kalau semangat nak hafal antiarrhytmia drug sama dengan semangat nak hafal lagu ni. :P

Besok exam. Biostat 6 pun belum hantar lagi. Nampak sangat akan ada unsur tiru orang lain ni. Masalah..masalah.

Besok exam. Otak dah tepu. Lecture notes tu rasa nak rebus bikin sup je. Minum, pastu konfirm boleh jawab semua. Kan best kalau betul. Hehe.

Besok exam. Yup besok exam. Stacey beli ice cream. Oke, Aisyah suka :)

C'moooon exam!

post

Salam,

Aisyah akhirnya delete the last post. Kenapa? Sebab aisyah rasa akan ada orang pikir "Eeii tolong la aisyah tu. Dia ingat dia ni siapa nak di layan special treatment ke bila berkawan? Pastu nak timbul ayat ukhuwah.Ceit!" Hehe. Kidding! I should know better la kan?

Truthfully, reason mendeletekan sebab rasa post tu terlalu emo. I never wanted my blog to be 'Blog rakaman setiap kali si Aisyah beremo', no no I would definetly do not want that, do I? I do by the way blame it to my crazy unbalance hormones, cik estrogen and cik progesteron (sory kaum adam, you could never use this excuse :P)

But seriously, I do think I hurt a few people along the way. And for that I apologize :( It was never meant to offend anyone. Cuma masa tu terlayan lebih sangat emosi, dan biasala bila layan sangat perasaan yang terbuku di hati..haaa kau! satu post emo yang panjang dah ditulis!

But all the things I said were true, and all the feelings I felt were real. Aisyah tahu tidak semua muslim baik dan tidak semua non muslim jahat. Dan aisyah sendiri tidak mahu meng generalize kan semua. I myself don't think it's fair. But as i said before, i had the confusion (and sometimes am now) and just don't have anyone to go to. Aisyah sendiri dah make peace with myself, cuma bila terkena, terkenang lah. The wound runs to deep that it's just too difficult to ignore.

Tapi aisyah tahu, Allah itu adil. And that I greatly belieave. And who knows maybe one day, Allah permudahkan jalan aisyah ke arahNya, and once again aisyah merasakan kemanisan ukhuwah itu :)

P/S: Bila didekat, terasa tersisih. Diam dan cuba lagi. Bila terkena lagi, sakit di hati. Akhirnya mensisihkan diri, melindungkan diri. Hakikatnya, tiada sesiapa pun mau mensisihkan diri tanpa bersebab. Bukan setiap hari kita bangun dengan perasaan mahu berjuang. Tapi atleast kita cuba.

Charity Concert Hands to Share

Salam,

Alhamdullilah, "Charity Concert Hands to Share" went out smoothly. The concert, organized by International Programme UGM is an event to collect money for the Sumatran Earthquake victims that strike last September.

Since it is an Inter's event, most of the committee and performers were International students.

That night, banyak yang main classical piece. Ada yang main piano, violin and also guitar. And oh oh oh how I love to watch Taufiq played the guitar! He did one of Andy Mckee's songs. He strum through the guitar and there's a part he ketuk-ketuk guitar. Ala..macam dalam cerita August Rush tu. Macam mana la aisyah (and other girls obviously) tak cair :P

Beside the guitar, Aisyah looked forward for these two talented pianist, Edo (budak Inter) and Ivan (bdak Regular). I had once saw these two, played during "Malam Classical dan Jazz UGM" last year. Hebat gile diorang masa tu! So I have no doubt I'll enjoy their performance again. Dan memang betul pun!

Aisyah enjoyed Edo's piece "Somewhere over the rainbow".Simple, yet he played it with full emotions sampai aisyah pun rasa aisyah over the rainbow :) Pastu Ivan plak played a Beethoven's piece. Ni memang kena tabik spring la! I don't know much about classical music, but I know he played a very complicated piece and was very good with it.

Other than that, a few of our batch mates also performed. Ni termasuk Iffa dan Hui Min, the violin duo! Sebelum ni, depa selalu datang rumah dan practice violin kat bilik aisyah. So when they were upstage, rasa bangga sangat! I noticed Hui Min made some mistakes (siap senyum-senyum kambing plak masa tu), but nevertheless it was good performance!

The violin duo: Iffa and Hui Min

Ray Robson (one of the top committee) also performed. Ni takyah cakap la, memang diketahui hebat. Another person I truly amazed was Suzie. The thing about Suzie is, she never had a piano lesson her whole life. Never! She only started to learn by herself after SPM. So on that night, when she played Croatian Rhapsody, aisyah terpegun sebentar.

"See, with hardwork and persistance you can be like her", Stacey said to me.

Ray Robson and Suzie

Selain daripada classical performance, ada jugak Korean drums and percussion diiringi dengan tarian. I've never seen a Korean performance, so I was looking forward for it. Miss Sen Hen Ha, the dancer was superb! She was dress like err hantu. Putih je muka dengan lengan baju elaborately long. Her dance was; emm how to say yek- amazingly and uniquely scary.

Hema siap ada goosebump masa tengok. The whole night after the event finished, Hema kept on saying she was scared. So which means Miss Sen Hen Ha was good la kan?

The concert finished with a fusion of Korean percussion and Javanese gamelan. It was super gooood! Aisyah siap kasi standing ovation!-which after that rasa malu plak sebab yang lain tak bangun/hehe

Fusion. Gamelan dan Korean percussion

Ohya, Aisyah dengan Fikri was in the decoration team. Sebelum ni kitaorang pernah team up untuk Malam Gala. So it was surprisingly nice to work with him again. The posters, bookmark, tag name dan kotak sumbangan yang over, adalah benda yang kitaorang dipertanggungjawab. Pastu on the night itself kitaorang jadi "penjaga pintu". Macam bozer kelab je rasa masa tu.

So to Fikri (aku tahu kau tengah baca ni :P)

Thank youuuu so much!

I had a great time working with you! Potong bookmark yang berlambak, letak riben kat bookmark selama 3 jam, bertanding buat kotak sumbangan yang paling cantik- aku enjoy every minute of it! (ok, maybe tak every minute la kot) If aku terkasar kata, sorila ek! Nanti bley tuntut Choclatos kat aq yaa :P

Malina, Stacey, Hui Min, Hema, Suzie and Clemency

The event overall was a success!

A lot of people came, and I've found out we collected large number of money for the relief. So kudos for all the committees (esp Stacey and Ray Robson) for their hard work!

D' Committee

Concert already finished. Few men started to cleanup the place. There were less than 6 people in auditorium.

Me: Ray, mainkan Marriage D' Amor boleh?
Ray Robson: Marriage D'Amor ya? Oke sure

He sat at the piano stool. Aisyah sat beside him. He started playing the song. Aisyah mula layan perasaan. Hmmm

lepak lepak la weekend

"Aisyah, join basket taw Selasa ni", Iz said to me after a brief basketball match with the 05.

"Hah? Iz, aisyah tak boleh main la", I said to her.

"Iz pun tak reti, Ain pun sama. Kita main je. Tak cukup orang ni", she insisted.

Great..A perfect ending for my 'perfect' weekend.

After coming back from raya, my workload seems to add up day by day. I'm either struggling to keep up with my studies and assignments( Block 3.2-Chest Complaint), confused to do my research proposal or busy involved in a non medical related activities -PKPMI (Malaysian student association here), GadjaMada Festival, Charity Concert, PUSKESMAS, Lessan (a NGO) and TBMM.

Needless to say, my weekdays (and weekends) was fully booked. If I am still in my 1st or 2nd year, maybe I will still bersemangat to do this but by 3rd year my priority was clear:

1. Spend more time on my studies
2. Do the things I loved :)

Period.

Third year proved to be a hectic year for us batch07. Everyone seems to be busy and from time to time you'll hear people sighed about this. Whether about our studies, our stack up assignments, pusing for an event or about the juniors-adakah mereka bisa diharap? So having a time to rest and rewind would be a great treat to us!

sometimes it can be overwhelmed kan?

Hence when one knows that he/she can have two days (Saturday and Sunday) all too one self, one should quickly grap it la kan?

I ignored TBMM Vertical Landing activity on Saturday and Water Rescue on Sunday without second thoughts (ni sungguh uncommon, since aisyah is always semangat for TBMM. hoho)

By Friday, I was all geared up for my weekends!

Saturday

I woke up late, which is not a good sign. Gone was my idea to go jog or cycle early in the morning. By the time I'm ready to 'enjoy' my day, I noticed the house was quiet. Ain when to PUSKESMAS, Stacey and Hema to TBMM, Malina in her room upstairs and Woan Shiang was busy preparing for her PA test. Bummer.

Eventually I spend most of the day in my room.

I tried to study-but my brain keep on saying "Oi! Ni weekend aa!". I tried playing the keyboard-tapi alahai takdak mood la plak. So I picked up a book which I've been trying to finish, golek-golek atas katil while listening to songs from Fiona Apple and Damien Rice.

By sore, junio09 came to practice their Diwali dance and Iffa also came to practice her violin. What a treat it was to see 2 perfomace in a day! I made cucur ikan bilis for them and when to 'membalas makanan' to Pqah and gave buah salak to Adi's house.

The day end quite early. After watching Take Him Out with Ain, around 9pm or so I went to bed. I, afterall need my 8 hours of beauty sleep okee.

Sunday

Aisyah bangun awal, tapi malas nak bangun. I thought of Taiwan for awhile, sighed a little and tried to sleep back.

When I finally woke up, I convinced myself to do something productive today. Prepared breakfast , mopped my room, read about Sufiah Yusuf, return something to Tkah and borrowed Twilight from Dibah.

When lunch came, we ordered Special Sambal. Oh tersangat sedap!

Wahai terung goreng kau memang la irresistable!
Buat ku bisa mengidam mu pada malam hari~

As the rest of the day I was on my bed-macam slowpoke, reading Twilight.

After finished reading the book (dan membebel seorang diri), it was 4.30pm. Remembering Ain's offer, I changed my clothes and cycled to campus. When I reached there, batch 05 were playing baling selipar. Kelakar tengok sebenarnya. I played for awhile-baling selipar and galah panjang. Rindu plak game2 macam ni. 50x better than playing PS2!

Then, before we went home we played basketball with the 05. Wee Pang and Nicholas were also there.

After the game lah, Iz asked me the question.

I hesitates. Sports and I don't really go along that well. We just don't have that chemistry between us, you know?

Oh well..maybe you might see this next Tuesday:

hehe. kidding!

A perfect weekend indeed. :)
